Regardless of of whether a friend is "real life" or online, I don't tell things they've told me in secret. We all have friends who don't like each other. It happens. There's no reason to be offended when one friend doesn't like another.

Everyone knows that the best kind of real-life friendships are the ones based on reinforcing mutual insecurities, inadequacies and prejudices because they get to be watered with sweet, sweet validation. It's ironic that you took this all so harshly, since what you said was fairly benign and not worth being embarrassed of. What set me off was that two of the most boring people on livejournal, on of whom didn't even have our little "e-villain" on their friends list, were the quickest to jump on the hateration bandwagon.
