Okay, I can't listen to "good" music while I'm running. I try to concentrate on the running itself so music that does not engage my brain at all is best. What I'm saying is I need stupid music--the dumber the better. My current playlist is all Aqua and Black Eyed Peas and Chumbawumba and...what? I'm not proud.

So if y'all could recommend some music to me--with a beat, plz--I would really appreciate it.

"Decadence" by Head Automatica is an awesome fun upbeat album.

You can never go wrong with the Trousersnake

Is it sick that that picture makes me hot?

Oh, good idea--I totally forgot about him.

And it's not sick but I just watched Night of the Living Dead last night and I'm having unfortunate associations with that photo.

In his heyday, Prince had some songs that made you think and shake your ass at the same time. I would highly recommend his Greatest Hits Vol. 1 and 2.

sinnerman - nina simone
these boots were made for walking - nancy sinatra

One of my friends used to listen to the Decemberists while running, and WHAT? That makes the opposite of sense.

Here are some random ones from my gym mix:
Sahara Hotnights, "Hot Night Crash"
Franz Ferdinand, "This Fire"
AC/DC, "Thunderstruck"
The Freestylers, "Push Up"
Poison, "Nothing but a Good Time"
Escape Club, "Wild, Wild West"

That last one is cheesy, fruity greatness. I love it without shame.
