"5 Characters" is definitely one of my all time favorites. I remember the first time I saw it (one of my first TZ episodes, if not THE first) thinking how incredibly strange and wonderful it was. Looking back at it now, you see how much debt it owes to Beckett and the surrealists. At the time, though, it was a uniquely strange puzzle with a brilliant ending.
