I think you'll understand.

I watched Across the Universe last night and it was fun but let's be for real, the narrative was kind of weak. And kind of exactly the same as The 60s. But it sure was a pretty movie and of course, you really can't go wrong with Beatles music. Unless we're talking about that awful Sgt. Pepper's movie. Anyway, I've heard the Beatles and endless covers over the years so I'm kind of nonplussed at the idea of yet another cover. Then I heard T.V. Carpio doing "I Want to Hold Your Hand." It's so pretty that it makes me want to cry every time I hear it.

i was watching that movie while my apartment burned, so it will forever be THAT movie. the narrative seemed pretty rote to me, and the Janis & Jimi stand-ins singing the Beatles didn't really work either. i liked a lot of it visually, i think Salma Hayek and Eddie Izzard's cameos were my favorite.

Oh goodness, that must have been terrible. I'm glad things seem to be getting better for you.

Yeah, I liked it visually and musically but the story seemed like just bare bones to drape the rest around.

I went into it skeptical, but I really liked most of the movie. Jim Sturgess and Joe Anderson were awesome. But the psychedelic part in the middle went on for so long that it made me want to die.

Yes! That's enough, Bono.
