More proud parenting.

I have Oolong's tank sitting on my desk so he can see me and he won't get bored so easily. I glanced over at the tank a while ago and he was nowhere to be found. I figured he was just hanging out behind the filter, since he likes to hide back there and chill. A little bit after that, I looked over and he still wasn't around. "Ooh ooh, where are you?" I wondered. [Approximately five seconds after he was named, he became Ooh Ooh or Oolie almost exclusively.] I checked all the places: behind the filter, behind the plants, in the back, floating at the top (oh please no, oh please no). I couldn't find him anywhere. So I took the top of the tank off to look.

Oh, just hanging out in the filter. I've run out of plug space and I need to get a power strip so I can plug in both his filter and the light at the same time so the filter was off and I guess he just swam in and thought it was totes cozy. He would not be the first of my animals to enjoy chilling in odd places.

When I pulled the top off, he was looking up at me like, "What?"

He also enjoys sitting on the rocks at the front of the tank:

Yes, that says "only cool fish allowed."

Hehe, aww. My betta likes to float at the top of the water and it used to drive me nuts because I always thought he was dead... Silly fish.

Aw. I'm convinced fish can sneak out of their tanks somehow. Sometimes they just disappear.

He looks delicious. I mean... delightful.
