Hmmm, the thing I hate about Jodi Picoult - and it's my own fault for reading 6 of her books in a row after an article in the Observer - is that she follows the same framework every time.
Person does morally grey area crime; trial follows; twist reveals. I'd love to read a book of hers where the crime was black and white, or hey - no crime/trial at all. Or where the sentence "s/he didn't pretend to misunderstand him/her" wasn't used. (Seriously, look out for it. It's in every. damn. book.)
